WhoIsIt History and Technology
Since 1994 when QVoice released the first biometric
retail product based on voice authentication Windows and PC magazine editors
called this voice verification and encryption program “ remarkable,”,
innovative,”, easy to use” and “unbreakable. Now some
10 years later we have brought the power of PKI-Biometrics Voice
Authentication and Fingerprint Identification to home users and
businesses who want to lock down and secure the desktop, encrypt and digitally
sign e-mail and attachments. The most effective way to breach someone’s security is to guess the password or use a key logger. Ultimately, security comes down to your mother’s name, or your birthday. That’s because there are simply too many passwords to remember and in the interest of easy recall, many users still resort to easy terms and PIN numbers when choosing passwords. Not anymore, WhoIsIt signs and encrypts your e-mail correspondence, locks down your PC from nosey onlookers and stops identity thieves from access to sensitive data by recording a fingerprint and / or brief voice sample, which it turns into a biometric template, a record of your voice’s characteristics and fingerprint minutiae that is used as your password. Simply speak a few words into a computer microphone or place your finger on a fingerprint sensor and WhoIsIt will compare and analyze your spoken words and fingerprint image against your voice imprint and fingerprint template during access verification. If your voice and fingerprint are verified, you’re in. If not, you’re rejected. Use your Voice and /or fingerprint as the key to unlock all you have protected. Limit access to the internet, adult material and restrict excessive game play during home work hours. WhoIsIt is a layered biometric security program. Users can use Passwords, PIN numbers, voice or fingerprint identification in any combination.
WhoIsIt is easy to use. Once users are enrolled it sits in the background until biometric authentication is required to unlock data, allow programs to run, logon to Windows and encrypt and digitally sign e- mail or attachments. WhoIsIt biometric security works with Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and Windows XP. WhoIsIt uses biometrics to replace the Windows logon and screen saver password requirement. for: The WhoIsIt lockbox is a password repository for people with multiple passwords to remember. The user can capture the entire password logon keystroke sequence as a macro and the lockbox will encrypt the macro and store it in the biometric database. Once the user is verified the lockbox will parse the correct encrypted password to the application making the request. |
