QVoice, Inc is the first biometric security company to develop a biometric cryptographic service provider CSP to enhance the use of 4 digit PIN number.

 A 4 digit PIN number alone is very week. The 4 digit PIN used for guarding unauthorized use of the user's private key only has 10,000 feasible combinations.

The WhoIsIt biometric CSP comes with an embedded biometric security subsystem and user interface that adds a layer of biometric security that is built in, not bolted on.

The WhoIsIt biometric CSP will integrate with existing PKI solutions.

The WhoIsIt biometric CSP  "BIOCSP" in combination with the WhoIsIt firmware can authenticate the use of a user's private encryption and signing key with biometrics from any location.

It is important to note: That although the WhoIsIt CSP  and firmware supports smart cards and USB flash memory devices to perform biometric authentication for PKI cryptographic functions. It is not required.  The WhoIsIt biometric CSP and firmware emulate a smart card and reader in software so Windows can use the smart card options when the computer does not have a smart card reader attached.

It is not required to use a specific fingerprint sensor. The WhoIsIt CSP supports many best of breed sensors.

For hardened security you can layer the biometrics to authenticate the use of private PKI keys. For example: Voice authentication in combination with a PIN number.  

The WhoIsIt client software can use the WhoIsIt CSP on a laptop, workstation or a part of the New WhoIsIt biometric authentication PKI server.           See Client/Server

WhoIsIt's Biometric CSP  can use Voice, fingerprint or optional face recognition in combination with passwords and PIN numbers to authenticate applications that support the Microsoft CAPI standard.

WhoIsIt’s biometric CSP and firmware in combination with the Microsoft CAPI does all the heavy lifting when using cryptography. Once you have obtained a digital certificate from a CA of your choice, and loaded the certificate into the WhoIsIt CSP you can invoke the WhoIsIt biometric CSP to biometrically authenticate the use of all private keys.
